Director of Product Engineering

We're seeking a Director of Product Engineering L3 to set organizational strategy for AI-assisted development practices and lead our product excellence initiatives. This senior leadership role involves managing multiple product teams, driving enterprise-wide AI development strategy, and interfacing with executive leadership on technical vision and execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

Organizational Strategy & Leadership 

• Set organizational strategy for AI-assisted development practices 

• Own AI tool evaluation, selection, and enterprise implementation 

• Interface with engineering leadership and executives on AI development strategy 

• Drive organizational prompt engineering and AI collaboration capabilities 

• Lead major platform and tooling decisions for AI-assisted development 

Team & Capability Development 

• Manage multiple L1 and L2 Senior Product Engineers 

• Lead product engineers across teams/Product Engineering Pods 

• Drive product team development and capability building 

• Establish security, compliance, and quality standards for AI-generated code 

• Foster innovation culture and technical excellence 

Performance & ROI Management 

• Drive AI-assisted development ROI and productivity improvements 

• Define development standards and governance for AI-assisted workflows 

• Lead budget management and strategic tool procurement 

• Establish metrics and KPIs for engineering effectiveness 

• Cross-functional stakeholder management and communication 

Required Qualifications 

Experience 

• 8+ years software development experience 

• History of building AI-assisted development capabilities 

• Track record of leading product teams and development practices 

• Experience with enterprise technology strategy and implementation

• AI Platform Architecture: Experience with large-scale AI service platforms, API governance, and enterprise AI integration patterns
