Job Summary

About EVA

EVA acquires enterprise software companies and transforms them into AI-native, profitable, scalable businesses. We obsess over customer success, and we operate as a remote-first organization with globally distributed teams. EVA Central is the operational backbone that runs this machine — the shared platform of business systems (Odoo, Redmine, GitHub, and the surrounding toolchain) through which every portfolio company is onboarded, operated, and measured. Regent Education, a leading provider of SaaS-based financial aid solutions for colleges and universities, is one of EVA's portfolio companies, acquired by EVA Equity Partners and now operated as part of its portfolio.

Why Join EVA

• High ownership, direct accountability for a real revenue number, and impact in a fast-moving environment

• Cross-portfolio exposure and shared methodology across a growing group of higher-education companies

• Career advancement spanning revenue marketing, portfolio-wide category leadership, and portfolio-company CMO or VP Marketing seats

• A governed, in-house AI toolchain that lets one owner run a full revenue marketing operation

Role Overview

EVA operates Revenue Marketing as a firm-level function: each portfolio company gets one dedicated revenue marketing owner, supported by shared content production, revenue operations and analytics, a common positioning methodology, and a governed AI toolchain built in-house.

Your mandate is to own revenue marketing for Regent Education: positioning, retention and expansion programs, enablement, and marketing's contribution to the revenue number. This is a dedicated seat because retention, expansion, and competitive positioning need a single owner rather than shared attention. The positioning architecture, offer set, and content pipeline are already in place, which means the work ahead is keeping the story true as the market moves, getting the field to use what gets produced, and making marketing's contribution to retention and expansion visible enough to plan around. You are the single point of accountability for Regent's revenue marketing, with firm methodology, shared production capacity, and an automation toolchain behind you, and you report to EVA's SVP, Revenue Marketing.

The Agentic Operating Model

Product marketing is being reshaped by AI, and most product marketers are experiencing that as something happening to them. This seat is on the other side of it. Production runs through a governed agentic pipeline, the toolchain is still being extended, and the people closest to the work decide what gets automated next.

In practice, positioning artifacts, enablement assets, competitive intelligence, and campaign materials are generated through orchestrated AI skills that carry the firm's methodology, with human judgment at the brief and approval points. You produce through the pipeline and query the messaging model rather than rebuilding context by hand. Where output needs heavy rework, or a task that should be automated still is not, proposing and shaping the fix is part of the role rather than a side project.

The methodology belongs to the firm. How it gets operationalized for Regent is yours to shape, and you leave this seat with evidence that you built and ran an agentic go-to-market system against a real revenue number.

Core Responsibilities

Positioning & Messaging

• Keep the messaging architecture current and approved: positioning, ICP definitions, buyer personas, the competitive view, and the sales battlecard

• Initiate refresh cycles when product releases or competitive moves make the current version wrong, rather than waiting for a scheduled review

• Coordinate review and sign-off with Regent's leadership, product, and customer success teams

Retention Programs

• Own renewal-cycle messaging, executive business review content, and customer communications on releases and regulatory change

• Build intervention materials when an account shows risk

• Customer success runs the retention conversations; you make sure they walk in with the right story and the right proof

Expansion Programs

• Own the marketing side of the services attach and cross-sell motion, including per-account offer materials and release-driven campaigns

• Build the messaging that connects a customer's operational pain to the right offer

• Own the release communications cycle with product

New Customer Acquisition

• Own positioning and enablement for the acquisition segments, the conference and event program, demand generation, and PR

• Build demo narratives and the assets sellers carry into competitive deals and RFPs

Enablement

• Own the asset inventory and whether it gets used

• Maintain separate sales and customer success tracks, facilitator materials, and release cheat sheets

• Track what the field actually uses, and retire or rebuild what it does not

Reporting Inputs

• Own pipeline and win/loss reason codes, asset inventory, and campaign performance feeding the monthly portfolio reporting cycle

• Partner with EVA RevOps and Analytics on reporting inputs

Required Qualifications

• Higher education domain experience — financial aid, enrollment, or student success — credible with the buyer without spending two quarters learning how aid offices work

• Five to eight years in B2B product marketing, customer marketing, or revenue marketing at a SaaS or technology company, with a track record of owning outcomes rather than supporting them

• Full-stack product marketing range: positioning and messaging, demand generation, PR, and events, with customer marketing and enablement as your center of gravity

• Retention and expansion fluency: you understand how renewal and cross-sell plays get designed, briefed, and executed with customer success and account management

• Structured positioning practice: you have built positioning architecture, tracked it through revision cycles, and held it current under competitive and product change pressure

• Influence without authority: this role has no direct reports and still needs sales, customer success, product, and a CEO moving in the same direction

• AI fluency as a requirement rather than a bonus: comfortable operating, directing, and improving a governed AI production pipeline

• Comfort inside a governed methodology: positioning frameworks, artifact standards, and segmentation come from the firm, improved through evidence and escalation rather than by quietly running your own version

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the CRM, sales enablement, and marketing automation stack commonly used in B2B revenue marketing

• Prior experience operating inside a private-equity-backed, multi-portfolio operating model, coordinating with a shared services or center-of-excellence function

• Experience building or scaling a revenue marketing function from a single-owner seat as the underlying business grows

You are not managing a marketing function. You are running the revenue marketing operation for a company inside a firm that gives you the methodology, the production capacity, and the automation to do it at a level a lone marketer never could.
